We received a letter in the post today from a customer who was worried because she’d accidentally forgotten to pay for some postcards while buying other items while on holiday. She sent a nice apology and included a cheque for the amount outstanding.
I sent her a card back thanking her for her correspondence and included the original cheque which we returned as a thankyou for her honesty. We sent her best wishes from Pittenweem and hope to catch her again if she’s up this way again (when I say ‘catch her’ I don’t mean that we perform a citizens arrest for shoplifting but instead mean that we see her again. Bad choice of words!)
